Man dies after fall aboard Norwegian cruise ship in Miami
Authorities opened an investigation after the guest fell from a balcony onto a lower deck, according to Norwegian Cruise Line.

A man died after falling from a deck of a Norwegian Cruise Line ship at the Seaport, the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office reported.
Sheriff’s deputies responded at about 3:30 a.m. Monday following a report that the man had fallen from the ship’s deck. Miami-Dade Fire Rescue also attended, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Norwegian Cruise Line said the incident occurred on the evening of Aug. 23, when a guest went over a balcony and landed on a lower deck. According to the company, crew members immediately provided life-sustaining measures, but the guest did not survive.
Detectives with the Miami-Dade Sheriff’s Office Homicide Bureau opened an investigation into the death. The Miami-Dade Medical Examiner had not yet determined the cause or manner of death.
