Male guest missing from Carnival Panorama after overboard incident
Carnival Cruise Line said surveillance footage showed the guest going overboard during the final full day of a seven-night voyage from Long Beach.

Carnival Panorama reported a male guest missing in an overboard incident as the ship neared the end of a seven-night cruise from Long Beach, California. The vessel had departed the port on September 13.
Carnival Cruise Line said onboard CCTV footage established that the guest had gone overboard. The company said the U.S. Coast Guard and Mexican authorities were notified while search and response operations continued.
A passenger account posted on Reddit said Carnival Panorama reversed course at about 3 p.m. According to that guest, the crew later announced that a person was missing, carried out a shipwide search and directed passengers to remain in their staterooms.
The captain subsequently informed passengers that the missing guest’s family and companions had been notified. The captain also lifted the instruction requiring guests to stay in their rooms.
