Málaga forecasts 113 cruise calls during October and November

The port expects about 165,000 passengers, with luxury and premium operators prominent in the autumn schedule.

The Port of Málaga expects 113 cruise calls and approximately 165,000 passengers across October and November. Its schedule includes 24 turnaround visits, in which voyages begin or end at the port.

The turnaround activity is expected to come mainly from Star Clippers, Ponant Compagnie, Windstar Cruises, SeaDream and Sea Cloud Cruises. Four Seasons Yachts is also scheduled to return on November 1 following its first Málaga visit last spring.

Orient Express Corinthian is due to make its first visit to Málaga on October 9, when it is also scheduled to operate a turnaround call. The 220-meter vessel is described as having three carbon masts rising nearly 100 meters and combining sail propulsion with hybrid technology.

The ship, part of Orient Express’s new luxury maritime division, has 54 suites and capacity for 110 passengers. Its inaugural Málaga visit is in addition to three other maiden calls scheduled during the autumn season, broadening the range of cruise brands and vessel profiles visiting the port.
