Lucy McRae boards Legend of the Seas for first sailing
Her place aboard Royal Caribbean’s new Icon Class ship followed participation in the Switch Me On To Cruise campaign.

Lucy McRae traveled to Malaga in June to join the first-ever sailing of Royal Caribbean’s Legend of the Seas. She secured her place aboard the new Icon Class ship after taking part in the Switch Me On To Cruise campaign, which was delivered with Royal Caribbean.
The campaign opened with daily competitions held across four weeks. During its second phase, agents who made a Royal Caribbean booking were offered the chance to win a stateroom aboard Legend of the Seas. McRae was among those who earned a place on the ship.
McRae’s sailing lasted four nights. While aboard, she aimed to experience as many of the vessel’s dining options as possible. Legend of the Seas has 28 dining options, according to the supplied campaign details.
Discussing the cruise line’s potential appeal to newcomers, McRae said Royal Caribbean offers shorter itineraries that can help first-time cruisers get a feel for cruising.
