Low Danube levels force Uniworld itinerary changes
Regensburg shifted to a coach excursion, while Nuremberg was removed and a Salzburg day trip was added.

Record-low water levels on the Danube disrupted a Uniworld cruise itinerary through Austria and Germany after a central European heatwave left parts of the planned route unnavigable.
The captain informed passengers that the ship could no longer sail to the German cities of Regensburg or Nuremberg because of the low water. The onboard team then introduced an amended schedule that preserved some planned activities while adding alternatives.
Regensburg remained part of the program as a coach excursion from the ship’s mooring in Vilshofen, approximately 66 miles away. Uniworld also arranged a new day trip to Salzburg.
For both the Regensburg excursion and the newly added Salzburg visit, the cruise line provided each passenger with 30 euros toward lunch.
