Lisbon named Europe’s Best Cruise Destination
The Portuguese capital also received Europe’s Best City Destination title at the World Travel Awards Europe 2026.
Lisbon has secured two European distinctions at the World Travel Awards Europe 2026, including recognition relevant to both cruise travel and city tourism.
The Portuguese capital was named Best Cruise Destination in Europe. In a separate category, Lisbon was distinguished as the Best City Destination in Europe, giving the city two awards during the same event.
Both accolades were presented on Saturday, Oct. 17, at a ceremony in Kotor Bay, Montenegro. The cruise destination award recognized Lisbon at the European level, while the city destination honor separately placed the Portuguese capital first in its category. The two titles were announced and presented together as part of the World Travel Awards Europe 2026 ceremony.
