Karen Cameron named UK and Ireland sales director for Globus brands
The former Ambassador Cruise Line head of trade will oversee trade activity for Avalon Waterways, Cosmos Tours and Globus Journeys.
Globus family of brands has appointed Karen Cameron as sales director for the UK and Ireland, with her new role scheduled to begin on 2 November. She succeeds Phil Shipman, who departed the company in June.
Cameron will oversee trade activity across Avalon Waterways, Cosmos Tours and Globus Journeys. Her remit includes managing relationships with travel agents and industry organizations, as well as leading sales initiatives, agent engagement and training, familiarization trips, tour operator product development and marketing. She will also be responsible for industry events and media partnerships.
Cameron joins after four years at Ambassador Cruise Line, where she most recently worked as head of trade. She has more than two decades of travel-industry experience, including previous positions with Princess Cruises, P&O Cruises, Barrhead and Thomas Cook.
