Jamaica Business Group Welcomes Sandals-Royal Caribbean Partnership
The proposed transaction is expected to close in early 2027, pending relevant approvals and customary closing conditions.
The Private Sector Organisation of Jamaica has congratulated Sandals Resorts International and Royal Caribbean Group on their partnership, describing the agreement as a significant milestone for Jamaica and the wider Caribbean business community.
According to the organisation, the agreement brings together two internationally recognized hospitality companies and is expected to help Sandals and Beaches Resorts continue expanding. The PSOJ said the partnership could also extend the resorts’ international reach and generate new opportunities across the global tourism industry.
PSOJ President Patrick Hylton characterized the agreement as a Jamaican success story and said it reflects the type of economic transformation the organization wants to see throughout the private sector.
The proposed transaction remains subject to relevant approvals and customary closing conditions. It is expected to be completed in early 2027.
