Invergordon closes 2026 cruise season with AIDAsol visit
Around 200,000 cruise passengers arrived on scores of ships during a season that began on April 6.

Invergordon welcomed its final cruise liner of the 2026 season after around 200,000 passengers passed through the town’s deep-water port this year.
AIDAsol, which was carrying around 2300 passengers, made the final call. The ship began its cruise in Hamburg and was due to visit Kirkwall, Invergordon, Leith and Newcastle before returning to the German port on Sunday.
The season began with the arrival of its first cruise ship on April 6 and included calls by scores of vessels.
The Port of Cromarty Firth also introduced a printed visitor map for cruise passengers during the season. Distributed as passengers disembarked, it highlights Invergordon’s independent shops, cafés and attractions. The featured destinations are within easy walking distance of the port, helping visitors discover more of what the town offers.
