Inside a Seven-Night Wonder of the Seas Caribbean Sailing
A traveler paid a discounted $2,000 for an ocean-view cabin during an April 2022 round-trip voyage from Fort Lauderdale.

A traveler boarded Royal Caribbean’s Wonder of the Seas in April 2022 for a seven-night Caribbean itinerary. Sailing round-trip from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, the ship visited Roatan, Honduras; Cozumel and Costa Maya, Mexico; and CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island in the Bahamas.
The traveler paid $2,000 for an ocean-view stateroom on deck 8, reduced from an original price of $3,000. The 179-square-foot accommodation included a private bathroom, king-size bed and ocean view. Royal Caribbean says Wonder of the Seas has 2,867 staterooms.
The ship has 16 guest decks, with each divided into forward, middle and aft areas. Although 24 elevators are available, the traveler found that using the stairs was frequently quicker.
Required safety preparation consisted of watching videos through either the cabin television or the Royal Caribbean app. The traveler then checked in at an assigned assembly station, the designated location for use during an emergency.
