Influencer alleges fake booking in MSC Seascape dispute
Vanessa Phillips said she filed an internet fraud complaint after discovering she had no reservation for an August 30 cruise from Galveston.

Influencer Vanessa Phillips alleged that a former travel companion, Armonte Wilson, persuaded her to send nearly $1,100 for a seven-day MSC cruise using booking materials she later characterized as fraudulent. She said the documents included an itinerary, agent booking numbers and invoices that were not genuine.
Phillips alleged that Wilson stopped responding and blocked her while she was traveling to Galveston to board MSC Seascape. After contacting MSC directly, she said a representative told her Wilson’s reservation had cost $524 and that no reservation existed under her name.
Phillips subsequently made a separate booking for the same August 30 sailing. During a recorded confrontation aboard the ship, Wilson denied taking her money.
Phillips said she submitted a fraud complaint to the FBI’s Internet Crime Complaint Center. Wilson later said online descriptions of the dispute were not fully accurate or complete. As of September 8, no criminal charges or arrests involving Wilson had been publicly reported.
