Holland America Plans Pan Am Centennial Voyage for 2027
The 28-day Zuiderdam sailing will feature aviation-themed programming, dining and shore excursions.

Holland America Line plans to commemorate Pan American World Airways’ 100th anniversary with a 28-day cruise aboard Zuiderdam. The Pan Am 100th Anniversary Legendary Voyage is scheduled to sail roundtrip from Miami in October 2027, visiting Caribbean and Central American destinations associated with Pan Am’s historic routes.
The cruise line plans presentations by aviation specialists, historians and people with direct experience of Pan Am’s operations and passenger services. Zuiderdam will also offer themed experiences inspired by the hospitality and premium-service concept of Pan Am’s Clipper Club airport lounges.
Holland America intends to introduce dishes influenced by cuisine associated with Pan Am’s prominence in international air travel, alongside a dedicated cocktail selection. Specially developed shore excursions are also planned to connect destinations visited by Zuiderdam with the airline’s aviation history while exploring their cultural and historical attractions.
