Holland America Plans Ocean Bar Redesign for Oosterdam
The updated live-music venue is part of a $500 million program covering six Vista and Signature class ships.

Holland America Line plans to redesign the Ocean Bar aboard Oosterdam, aiming to create a more connected venue that places guests closer to live music.
According to the cruise line, the refreshed space will take inspiration from the golden age of travel, incorporating Art Deco influences, custom furnishings and updated materials. Holland America said the design will combine craftsmanship with sustainability.
A new stage is planned to support an expanded entertainment lineup. The company said programming will include regional soloists and pianists, along with Vivace Strings performances and late-night cabaret.
The project forms part of Holland America Evolution, the line’s $500 million initiative to upgrade six ships in its Vista and Signature classes. Oosterdam is scheduled to become the first vessel to receive the improvements, which will also bring selected Pinnacle class favorites to the ship.
