Holland America outlines six-ship Alaska program for 2027
The season will include new and returning itineraries, alongside the completion of upgrades at the company’s Denali lodge.

Holland America Line plans to operate six ships in Alaska between April and September 2027, with departures from Seattle, Vancouver and Whittier. The deployment, marking the line’s 80th year exploring Alaska, will include Eurodam, Koningsdam, Nieuw Amsterdam, Noordam, Westerdam and Zaandam.
Among the announced options is a new eight-day Alaska Inside Passage itinerary sailing roundtrip from Vancouver. The cruise will visit Glacier Bay and call at Skagway, Ketchikan and Prince Rupert in British Columbia.
Noordam is also scheduled to operate the returning 28-day Legendary Alaska Arctic Circle Solstice voyage for a third year. Departing Seattle on June 6, the roundtrip sailing will travel to the Bering Sea and cross into the Arctic Circle.
The program also includes a seven-day Great Bear Rainforest cruise aboard Noordam and two 18-day Great Bear Rainforest & Alaska Explorer sailings aboard Zaandam.
Holland America said renovations at its Denali Lodge will be completed in 2027. Plans include replacing older structures with two new guest buildings, increasing capacity by 72 rooms, redesigning the Main Lodge interiors and public areas, and fully renovating the Grizzly Grind coffee shop. The company also reported contributing more than $320,000 during the 2026 season to organizations and initiatives in Anchorage, Juneau, Sitka, Ketchikan and Denali.
