Holland America opens bookings for 2028 Alaska cruises
Six ships will operate seven- to 18-day itineraries from Seattle, Vancouver, Whittier and San Diego.

Holland America Line has opened bookings for its 2028 Alaska season, which will feature Oosterdam, Noordam, Eurodam, Koningsdam, Westerdam and Zaandam. Cruises will operate round-trip from Seattle and Vancouver, between Vancouver and Whittier, and from San Diego to Vancouver.
The schedule includes a new 11-day California to Alaska: Shores, Fjords & Glaciers cruise aboard Zaandam, departing San Diego for Vancouver on April 29, 2028. Oosterdam will sail a new 16-day Great Bear Rainforest & Alaska Explorer itinerary round-trip from Vancouver on April 28. Select Great Alaska Explorer and Great Bear Rainforest sailings will cruise Nootka Sound for the first time in the line’s history.
Holland America plans 36 departures of its seven-day Glacier Discovery itinerary, 46 seven-day Alaska Inside Passage departures and 45 seven-day Alaska Explorer departures during the season.
Oosterdam will become the first ship to debut upgrades under the Holland America Evolution fleet program. Planned additions include purpose-built Solo Verandah staterooms, forward-facing Bridgeview Suites and the Grand Dutch Café. The ship will also serve as the primary vessel for Holland America’s Alaska Cruisetours, which combine cruises with overland travel in Denali and the Yukon.
