Holland America Line to Add Arcadia in 2029
The P&O Cruises transfer will expand Holland America’s fleet to 12 ships and add capacity for more than 2,000 guests.

Holland America Line has announced that Arcadia will join its fleet in 2029, increasing the cruise line’s total fleet to 12 ships. P&O Cruises will transfer the vessel as Holland America seeks to expand capacity, meet continued demand and advance its Holland America Evolution transformation program.
The company said Arcadia will increase its guest capacity by more than 2,000 and provide additional flexibility for developing global itineraries. The ship is based on the same Vista Class platform as Holland America vessels Oosterdam, Noordam, Westerdam and Zuiderdam.
Holland America said it will determine the venues and features to be introduced aboard Arcadia over the coming months. The line has not yet detailed the ship’s planned changes.
Arcadia’s arrival will follow transformation work on other Vista Class ships. Oosterdam is scheduled to debut its Holland America Evolution updates in fall 2027, while Zuiderdam is expected to follow in April 2028.
