Holland America Details Pan Am Centennial Voyage Plans
The 28-day Zuiderdam sailing is scheduled to depart Miami roundtrip on October 30, 2027.

Holland America Line has outlined programming for its Pan Am 100th Anniversary Legendary Voyage, including lectures, themed menus and shore excursions. The 28-day cruise is scheduled to sail roundtrip from Miami aboard Zuiderdam on October 30, 2027, following portions of the airline’s early Caribbean and Central American routes.
Four excursions were developed specifically for the voyage. Plans include a Cartagena tour in classic roadsters with discussion of the city’s emerald trade during Pan Am’s heyday; a Colón outing combining the Agua Clara Locks and Panama Canal Railway; and an Antigua visit to Shirley Heights, overlooking the harbor once used by Pan Am navigators approaching port. In Port of Spain, guests are scheduled to visit Chaguaramas, a former Pan Am flying boat base, along with its military history and aerospace museum.
The announced speaker lineup features actor Willie Aames; Pan Am Museum Foundation chair and co-founder Linda Freire; foundation vice chairman David Hinson; aviation storyteller Steve Gray; and hospitality executive, pilot and Pan Am memorabilia collector David Kliman.
Menus are planned around dishes associated with Pan Am’s in-flight service, including filet mignon maître d’hôtel, Dover sole baked in puff pastry and Grand Marnier soufflé. The drinks list is set to feature the rum-based Clipper Cocktail. Zuiderdam is also scheduled to recreate a version of Pan Am’s Clipper Club airport lounges.
