Holland America Adds Poolside Bandstands to Two Ships
Oosterdam and Zuiderdam will be the first Vista and Signature class vessels upgraded through the line’s Evolution project.

Holland America Line has announced plans to install poolside bandstands aboard Oosterdam and Zuiderdam as part of its Evolution upgrade program. The new venues are designed to accommodate a range of musical performances during each sailing, including solo acts and live bands playing during sailaway.
The cruise line said the bandstands will also provide space for special events and celebrations, including its signature Orange Party. Both vessels have retractable glass roofs covering their Lido Pools, allowing the poolside areas to remain in use during varying weather conditions throughout a cruise.
Oosterdam and Zuiderdam are scheduled to be the first two of six Vista and Signature class ships included in the Evolution program. Other planned upgrades across the project include Grand Dutch Café venues, additional staterooms and suites, and new balcony accommodations intended for solo travelers.
