Hero of the Seas to enter service early with two added August 2027 cruises
Royal Caribbean has scheduled seven-night and three-night sailings ahead of the ship’s previously planned inaugural voyage.

Hero of the Seas is now scheduled to begin service earlier than previously planned, with two additional cruises departing from Miami on August 1 and August 8, 2027. The ship’s inaugural sailing had originally been set for August 11.
The August 1 departure will be a seven-night Perfect Day CocoCay and Western Caribbean itinerary. It will be followed on August 8 by a three-night Perfect Day CocoCay getaway. According to an email from Royal Caribbean, guests booked on the August 11 voyage may move to an earlier sailing without change fees through October 14. Suites will also be held until that date to give those guests an opportunity to switch. Passengers who prefer to keep the August 11 cruise do not need to take action.
Hero of the Seas is planned to operate mainly weeklong Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami. Announced onboard features include a treehouse-themed suite, a redesigned adults-only Hideaway retreat, a New Orleans supper club, a SpongeBob SquarePants musical and new Category 6 waterslides.
