Hero of the Seas moves to outfitting pier ahead of 2027 Miami debut
Royal Caribbean’s fourth Icon-class ship is scheduled to begin seven-night Caribbean cruises from PortMiami in August 2027.

Hero of the Seas has moved to its outfitting pier after its dry dock was filled overnight with more than 90 million gallons of water. Royal Caribbean International said construction on its fourth Icon-class vessel will continue at the pier over the next year.
According to the cruise line, the ship is planned with eight neighborhoods, nine pools and 28 dining venues. The lineup includes the new Orleans Parrish Supper Club, along with Crown’s Edge, Coconut Cove and the adults-only The Hideaway.
Royal Caribbean plans to deploy Hero of the Seas on seven-night Eastern and Western Caribbean itineraries from Miami, with every voyage calling at Perfect Day CocoCay in The Bahamas. The proposed western route includes Roatán, Cozumel and Costa Maya, while the eastern itinerary visits St. Maarten and St. Thomas.
The ship is scheduled to debut at PortMiami in August 2027. Reservations are currently available through Royal Caribbean.
