Harland & Wolff signs Beachcomber refit contract
The approximately £40 million project is scheduled for completion and delivery in January 2027.

Harland & Wolff announced that it has signed a contract with Margaritaville at Sea to refit Beachcomber. The contract is valued at approximately £40 million, or approximately $53,096,000.
Beachcomber is expected to undergo an approximately 12-week refurbishment at one of Harland & Wolff’s shipyards. Completion and delivery are scheduled for January 2027, when the vessel is expected to resume operations as Margaritaville at Sea’s new flagship.
According to records, the ship was delivered in 2003 and has a gross tonnage of 102,669. It can accommodate up to 3,250 passengers and 1,068 crew members.
Beachcomber was originally ordered by Costa Cruises as Costa Fortuna and was acquired by Margaritaville at Sea in May 2025. The vessel is expected to be handed over to its new owner after completing its final Costa voyage in September 2026.
Harland & Wolff said the contract is its second collaboration with Margaritaville at Sea in two years. The companies previously worked together on the 2024 refit of Islander.
