Halifax cruise schedule builds toward 189 ship calls in 2026
More than 350,000 cruise visitors are expected under the latest schedule, with close to 100 vessels still due before the season ends in November.

Halifax Harbour welcomed four cruise ships in a single day earlier in the week, part of a month in which more than 60 ships were expected to dock in the city. Close to 100 additional vessels remained scheduled to visit before the cruise season concludes in November.
MSC Meraviglia began Halifax’s cruise season with an April 21 visit before a transatlantic voyage to Barcelona. The ship arrived from Brooklyn, New York. Norwegian Cruise Line increased its spring and summer presence in Halifax by adding Bermuda itineraries that included a city stop. Carnival Cruise Line also returned after moving to a new homeport in Norfolk, Virginia.
Based on the latest schedule, Halifax was expected to receive 189 cruise ships and more than 350,000 visitors in 2026. Robyn Stewart, the Port of Halifax’s manager of cruise development, said cruise ships generate about $200 million in economic impact for Nova Scotia and more than 1000 jobs annually.
