Guernsey cruise traffic shows signs of renewed growth
Passenger numbers are expected to reach 28,000 in 2026, while advance bookings and available capacity are rising for 2027.

Guernsey Ports officials said cruise passenger traffic to the island is showing indications that the sector is expanding again after several years of disruption.
Mark Renouf, cruise operations and business development manager, said 2026 was the first year since the pandemic in which passenger numbers had stabilized compared with the previous year. The island is expected to receive 28,000 cruise passengers during 2026.
Advance bookings also point to increased activity next year. According to Renouf, Guernsey already has 63 cruise bookings for 2027, up from 51 in 2026. The combined passenger capacity of the ships scheduled to visit is also increasing by approximately 8,000.
Renouf attributed the figures to work undertaken in recent years to attract cruise business. He said new cruise lines were selecting Guernsey for visits, while operators that had previously called at the island were demonstrating renewed confidence in the destination.
