Great Tides Waterpark scheduled to open at Great Stirrup Cay
The nearly six-acre attraction features 19 slides, while a new two-berth pier can accommodate multiple ships each day.

The island opening was scheduled for Sept. 4, alongside the debut of Great Tides Waterpark at Norwegian Cruise Line’s private Bahamian island, Great Stirrup Cay.
The company describes Great Tides as a nearly six-acre attraction anchored by a 170-foot tower and featuring 19 slides. The project is paired with a new two-berth pier, which allows more than one cruise ship to dock at the island in a single day.
Norwegian Cruise Line President Marc Kazlauskas said guests could buy waterpark day passes before their visit. Advance purchases would allow passengers to secure access ahead of their scheduled day at Great Stirrup Cay.
