Freedom of the Seas to sail from Southampton in 2027
Royal Caribbean will deploy the upgraded ship on no-fly cruises to destinations including Spain, France and the Norwegian Fjords.

Freedom of the Seas will operate from Southampton during summer 2027, replacing the 3,798-passenger Liberty of the Seas. The ship is scheduled to begin its Southampton season on May 9.
With a stated capacity of 3,926 passengers, Freedom of the Seas will provide a modest increase in capacity on the program. Royal Caribbean said the deployment reflects the strength of the cruise market in the UK and Ireland.
The ship has recently received a range of upgraded attractions and venues. Features include three-storey waterslides, a revamped pool area, Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen and the Izumi Japanese restaurant.
Its Southampton schedule will offer no-fly cruise options, with itineraries featuring ports in Spain and France as well as voyages to the Norwegian Fjords.
