Four-year-old rescued after fall beside Carnival Sunrise in the Bahamas
Crew members retrieved the child from the water between the cruise ship and pier during boarding on December 21.

A four-year-old fell into the water between Carnival Sunrise and a pier in the Bahamas on December 21 as passengers were boarding the ship, according to a report about the incident.
The report said crew members quickly deployed life rings and lowered a ladder into the gap between the vessel and the pier. They then pulled the child from the water and wrapped her in a towel.
Carnival Cruise Line said the child had moved away from her mother before falling. According to the company, crew members rescued both the mother and child, and the ship’s medical team subsequently examined them.
The person who created a video of the incident later said in comments on the post that the mother was traumatized but otherwise fine. Carnival Sunrise is an 893-foot vessel sailing from Miami.
