Four cruise ships highlighted for whole-body cryotherapy chambers

The onboard facilities differ from localized cold treatments and cryo facials offered elsewhere at sea.

A report identifies four major cruise ships with dedicated whole-body cryotherapy chambers: Mein Schiff Relax, Mein Schiff Flow, Four Seasons I and MSC World Asia.

Mein Schiff Relax’s spa contains a German-engineered cryotherapy chamber. Guests first enter a pre-chamber and then spend three minutes in temperatures of minus 130 degrees Fahrenheit. According to the report, sister ship Mein Schiff Flow has the same chamber design and debuted in June 2026 as the second Intuition-class vessel.

Four Seasons I offers a whole-body cryochamber within its L’Oceana Spa. The report says the chamber, designed for rapid cold-therapy recovery in a private setting, can reach temperatures as low as minus 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

MSC World Asia is scheduled to debut in December 2026 as MSC Cruises’ third World-class ship and the first in that class with a cryotherapy chamber. MSC Cruises has said its whole-body cryotherapy treatment is intended to support muscle recovery and circulation while reducing inflammation.

Other ships provide more targeted cold treatments. Queen Anne offers thermoshock sessions using a localized device for specific areas rather than a full-body chamber. Crystal Serenity and Crystal Symphony provide cryo facials that direct controlled cold-air streams at the face and neck, with the treatments intended to tighten skin and support collagen.
