Former Norwegian Sky Begins Transformation for Cordelia Cruises
Renamed Cordelia Sky, the 2,000-passenger vessel is undergoing an overhaul in Turkey ahead of its planned 2026 debut in India.

Cordelia Cruises has taken delivery of the former Norwegian Sky and renamed it Cordelia Sky. The ship has entered dry dock at a Turkish shipyard, where its hull and funnel are being repainted with the Mumbai-based cruise line’s colors and logo.
Interior areas are also being redesigned for the Indian market. Cordelia Cruises plans for the refurbished vessel to offer 11 dining venues, 11 bars and lounges, five principal entertainment spaces and 1,000 staterooms. The accommodations will include a Chairman’s Suite with a private balcony and whirlpool.
Cordelia Sky is scheduled to start its maiden season on October 23, 2026. The ship is set to operate cruises of two to five nights from Mumbai to Goa and Lakshadweep. From June 2027, plans call for seven-night Southeast Asia itineraries between Chennai and Singapore, including stops in Malaysia and Thailand.
The company also plans to acquire Norwegian Sun in 2027 and rename it Cordelia Sun. That vessel is expected to join Cordelia Sky and Cordelia Empress in the Cordelia Cruises fleet.
