Florida man charged after alleged sexual battery aboard cruise
Miami-Dade County court records say the passenger reported that she did not consent to sexual activity.

A 34-year-old Florida resident has pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from an alleged sexual battery aboard a cruise that departed Miami on Sept. 6, according to a Miami-Dade County arrest affidavit.
The affidavit states that Cody Gray met an 18-year-old passenger at an onboard club. Authorities alleged that he provided her with three alcoholic drinks before the two went to his cabin, where they had sexual intercourse despite her previously telling him that she did not want to.
According to the affidavit, the passenger told ship personnel and her parents that she could not remember what occurred inside the cabin but maintained that she had never consented to sexual activity with Gray.
Ship staff detained Gray before authorities arrested him when the vessel returned to PortMiami. He was charged with felony sexual battery and misdemeanor provision of alcohol to a minor. Authorities did not identify the ship or cruise line involved.
