First Disney Believe Ship Section Floats Out in Germany
The midship gigablock is the first of three large sections planned for Disney Cruise Line’s new vessel, which is scheduled to begin sailing in late 2027.

Disney Cruise Line said the first of three major sections of Disney Believe has been floated out at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. The completed section, known as a gigablock, will form the midship portion of the vessel.
Construction is set to continue with the forward gigablock, followed by the aft section. Disney Believe is scheduled to enter service in late 2027.
Disney has also outlined several design elements planned for the ship. Tinker Bell is expected to appear on the bow, while Toy Story characters Woody and Buzz Lightyear are planned for the stern.
Inside, the Grand Hall will take inspiration from Moana. Its centerpiece sculpture is planned to feature Moana alongside Pua and Heihei.
