Fiji military veteran builds new career aboard Carnival Horizon
Jesoni Kuruyawa Naivalutoki transitioned to cruise work after serving for two decades in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.

Jesoni Kuruyawa Naivalutoki has embarked on a cruise career aboard Carnival Horizon following 20 years of service in the Republic of Fiji Military Forces.
Based in Miami, Naivalutoki described the Carnival ship as a floating five-star hotel operating in the western Caribbean. According to him, its itineraries include visits to Bonaire and Curacao, with occasional sailings to the Cayman Islands, Mexico and the Bahamas.
The move represents a significant career change for Naivalutoki, who is from Narikoso, Ono, Kadavu, in Fiji. While his work takes him among several Caribbean destinations, he said the greatest difficulty is spending time away from his family. Naivalutoki is the father of two sons and a daughter.
