Family seeks medical records after MSC Euribia crew member’s death
MSC says required procedures were followed after assistant waiter Laeeq Adams suffered cardiac arrest aboard the ship in October.

Laeeq Adams died in October while employed as an assistant waiter aboard MSC Euribia. His mother, Zenith Adams, said MSC did not initially notify her of his death. According to her account, she learned what had happened from another family member after friends working on the ship contacted the family.
MSC said Laeeq experienced a sudden decline in his condition followed by cardiac arrest. The cruise company said members of the ship’s medical team attempted to revive him.
Zenith Adams is seeking her son’s medical records and further information about the events surrounding his death. She said she wants details including when he was examined by a doctor, who was present and what occurred during the hours before he died.
MSC said it complied with all required procedures. The company also said it is processing the family’s request for records after receiving the death certificate.
