Explorations by Norwegian prepares Regatta for September debut
The first ship for the new operation is scheduled to depart Rome on September 1 with a sector-based global itinerary.
Explorations by Norwegian is scheduled to begin sailing from Rome on September 1 aboard Regatta, its first ship. Before guests embark, Michael Middleton and his team plan to fly to Istanbul and spend four days sailing the vessel to Rome.
During that period, Explorations branding is due to be applied to Regatta’s funnel and hull, while a new production show will be installed and the team will settle into operations. The ship has 348 staterooms.
Regatta’s itinerary is structured as 24 sectors each year. Guests can reserve individual sectors of approximately 10 days, combine multiple legs or stay aboard for the complete Australia-to-Australia journey. Middleton said the first two sectors had sold out, with no cabins remaining on either departure.
Fares include drinks, basic Wi-Fi, specialty dining and self-service laundry. Guests also receive a US$50 shore-experience credit at every port.
