EXPLORA III Makes Maiden Call in New York City
Explora Journeys’ third ship visited New York on October 8 as part of its inaugural season in North America.

EXPLORA III made its first visit to New York City on October 8, marking another milestone during the ship’s inaugural season. A traditional Crest Exchange Ceremony was held between the vessel’s leadership and local representatives to commemorate the call.
The luxury ship arrived after sailing through Canada and New England. It is continuing a series of itineraries along the East Coast of the United States and Canada before completing its North American programme.
EXPLORA III is the third vessel in the Explora Journeys fleet and the brand’s first ship powered by liquefied natural gas. After its current programme, the vessel is scheduled to reposition to Miami for its first Caribbean season. Its entry into service brings Explora Journeys halfway toward the company’s stated goal of operating six ships by 2028.
