Explora III adds LNG power and new spaces to Explora Journeys fleet
The 922-passenger ship is 19.2 metres longer than its two predecessors and features seven standalone restaurants.

Explora Journeys’ third ship, Explora III, has joined the company’s growing fleet with a stated capacity of 922 passengers. A reported three-night itinerary was scheduled to sail from Civitavecchia, northwest of Rome, to Barcelona with a call at Portofino.
Explora III is powered by liquefied natural gas. The vessel is 19.2 metres longer than the line’s first two ships, a change made to accommodate larger fuel tanks. The additional space also supports more suites and public areas.
New venues include a wine-tasting room, a private dining room and an outdoor cigar lounge. The ship has seven standalone restaurants, expanding the range of dining options available on board.
At the top of the accommodation range, the Owner’s Residence spans the vessel from port to starboard. It provides 183 square metres of interior space alongside a 132-square-metre balcony overlooking the stern.
Explora Journeys plans to build another three ships during the next two years, continuing the expansion of its fleet.
