Disney Magic and Disney Destiny Cabin Costs Compared
Two sailings highlight differences in price and space between an inside cabin and a verandah stateroom.
A traveler compared accommodations aboard Disney Magic and Disney Destiny, described as the oldest and newest ships in the Disney Cruise Line fleet, respectively. The trips included a standard inside cabin on Magic and a Deluxe Oceanview Stateroom with a Verandah on Destiny.
The three-night Disney Magic voyage from Fort Lauderdale to San Juan, Puerto Rico, cost $1,585.78 for the traveler and her fiancée. That total included taxes, port fees and gratuities. Their inside cabin measured 184 square feet.
For a four-night Disney Destiny cruise scheduled for May 2026, the couple paid $3,125. The Bahamian itinerary includes visits to Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point. Their verandah stateroom measured 243 square feet.
According to the traveler’s comparison, the Destiny verandah accommodation cost nearly 48% more per night than the inside cabin aboard Magic. The report noted that the difference also reflected Destiny’s status as a new ship, which entered service in November 2025, as well as the higher typical cost associated with a private balcony.
