Disney Imagination to Begin Japan Cruises From Tokyo in 2029
The Wish-class vessel will be the first ship operated by Disney Cruise Line Japan, with itineraries and booking details still to come.

Disney has named its first Japan-based cruise ship Disney Imagination. The vessel is scheduled to begin sailing from Tokyo in spring 2029.
Disney Imagination will become the first ship for Disney Cruise Line Japan, a Disney-branded cruise business operated by Oriental Land Co., Ltd. Disney identifies the vessel as a Wish-class ship.
Concept art released by Disney shows Ariel and Sebastian on the stern. Ariel appears with her dinglehopper against the name of the ship. According to Disney, she will use the utensil to draw the name as part of the vessel’s signature stern design.
Disney’s preview lists Broadway-style entertainment, character encounters, food and beverage experiences, spaces for children and teenagers, and areas reserved for adults.
The company plans to announce specific onboard experiences and future itineraries at a later date. Fares and a booking date have not been provided.
