Disney Dream sail-away celebration set for Liverpool
Liverpool Cruise Port and Culture Liverpool are inviting spectators to the Pier Head for the ship’s September 9 departure.
Disney Dream is scheduled to return to Liverpool Cruise Port on Wednesday, September 9, when a special sail-away celebration will mark the vessel’s visit.
Liverpool Cruise Port, supported by Culture Liverpool, is inviting families, residents and visitors to gather at the Pier Head to see the ship depart against the backdrop of Liverpool’s waterfront. Music is planned at the Pier Head before the scheduled departure.
A brief fireworks display is also planned as part of the evening, subject to suitable weather. Disney Dream is expected to leave its berth, travel a short distance into the river and then remain in position directly in front of the Pier Head during the celebration.
Organizers are encouraging spectators to use the Pier Head for the best views instead of Princes Parade. Princes Parade has been a popular place to watch previous ship departures.
