Disney Destiny adds Solara pumpkin tree for Halloween sailings
The Enchanted Halloween Pumpkin Tree was designed to complement the colors of the ship’s Wakanda-inspired Grand Hall.
An Enchanted Halloween Pumpkin Tree named Solara is installed in the Disney Destiny’s Grand Hall for Halloween on the High Seas cruises. Solara was scheduled to come to life aboard the ship on Sept. 7 during its first cruise in the Halloween series.
Each participating ship has a custom-designed Enchanted Pumpkin Tree with a distinct name, backstory and appearance. The trees are designed to blend with the interior themes of their respective ships.
Solara was created to complement the colors in the Disney Destiny’s Grand Hall. The space was inspired by Wakanda and Marvel Studios’ Black Panther.
On the first night of a participating sailing, a caretaker hosts a 15-minute storytelling ceremony that lights the carved jack-o’-lantern branches. Solara and the other ships’ Enchanted Pumpkin Trees serve as the focus of the ceremony.
