Disney Cruise Line unveils Disney Believe design details
The 144,000-gross-ton Wish-class ship is scheduled to enter service in late 2027, although bookings and inaugural voyage details remain pending.
Disney Cruise Line revealed the stern, bow and Grand Hall designs for the Disney Believe during D23, presenting the spaces around a theme of promise and possibility. The vessel is expected to become the cruise line’s fourth Wish-class ship and ninth fleet member when it debuts in late 2027.
The Grand Hall, which will serve as a central gathering place, will draw inspiration from Moana and the films’ themes of optimism and exploration. On the stern, large sculptures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear will show the Toy Story characters using oversized yellow crayons to write the vessel’s name.
Tinker Bell will appear on the bow amid silhouettes of Peter Pan, Wendy, Captain Hook and other characters from Peter Pan, incorporated into a swirling design.
Meyer Werft is building the Disney Believe in Papenburg, Germany. Disney Cruise Line says the 144,000-gross-ton vessel is planned to accommodate approximately 4,000 guests and 1,555 crew members.
The company has not announced the ship’s exact maiden-voyage date, home port or first itineraries. Bookings have also not opened.
