Disney Cruise Line Tests Temporary Wristbands on Disney Treasure
The passive Key to the World bands provide cabin access and onboard purchasing for guests without a DisneyBand+.

Disney Cruise Line is testing wearable Key to the World wristbands aboard Disney Treasure. During terminal check-in, guests who do not already have a DisneyBand+ receive the bands directly instead of finding traditional plastic cards outside their stateroom doors.
The lightweight, passive wristbands work without batteries or charging. Guests can tap them to enter their cabins and make purchases aboard the ship. Unlike DisneyBand+, which can remain linked to a guest’s account for use across multiple Disney vacations, the trial wristbands are issued only for one sailing and cannot be reused on later trips.
After Disney Treasure returns to port, passengers deposit the temporary bands in collection bins located outside the terminal on debarkation morning.
In communications to travel advisors, Disney Cruise Line said it regularly evaluates new onboard concepts and cautioned that not every test becomes part of its operations. The company has not guaranteed that the Key to the World wristband trial will become permanent or be introduced across its fleet.
