Disney Cruise Line Teases August 25 Announcement With Partial Coordinates
The cruise line’s image includes six latitudes, prompting differing interpretations about the locations they may represent.
Disney Cruise Line has teased an announcement scheduled for August 25, 2026, using an image of an unnamed ship alongside six incomplete geographical coordinates. Each coordinate includes a latitude but omits the corresponding longitude.
The company’s caption invited viewers to return the following day for the announcement. Disney did not disclose what the news would cover, leaving the meaning of the coordinates unconfirmed.
One report interpreted the six latitudes, in their displayed order, as roughly corresponding with New York City, San Juan, Galveston, San Diego, Fort Lauderdale and Port Canaveral. A separate report proposed a somewhat different set of possible destinations: New York, either St. Maarten or San Juan, Galveston, San Diego, Port Canaveral and Disney’s Castaway Cay in the Bahamas.
The references remain interpretations because longitude figures were not included and Disney had not identified the places. Separately, one report said Disney and the Port of San Diego extended their homeport partnership through at least 2031. Under that agreement, Disney Cruise Line’s annual sailings from San Diego are set to double.
