Disney Cruise Line plans 2027 New York sailing to Prince Edward Island
The seven-day Disney Wish itinerary is expected to bring about 4,000 visitors to Charlottetown in October 2027.
Disney Cruise Line is planning a seven-day voyage from New York City to Atlantic Canada and New England in October 2027. Port Charlottetown in Prince Edward Island is set to be a primary destination, although exact sailing dates have not yet been announced.
The preliminary itinerary lists Charlottetown, Sydney and Halifax as confirmed ports. Saint John and Boston are identified as seasonal selections. About 4,000 passengers are expected to disembark during the Charlottetown visit.
Jose Fernandez, Disney Cruise Line’s vice president of port strategy, development and operations, said the voyage will mark the Disney Wish’s first visit to New York City. According to Fernandez, the Prince Edward Island call will give passengers an opportunity to experience Atlantic Canada’s culture, autumn scenery and hospitality. Port Charlottetown CEO Mike Cochrane said the port and cruise line had discussed Disney’s return for several years, adding that the company had expressed a firm intention to include Charlottetown.
