Disney Believe to Debut in Late 2027 as Fleet Expansion Continues
The fourth Wish-class ship will feature characters and entertainment drawn from several Disney films, followed by three mid-sized vessels through 2030.
Disney Cruise Line plans to launch the Disney Believe in late 2027, with new venues and entertainment inspired by Encanto, Frozen, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, Moana and The Little Mermaid. The company expects to release the ship’s inaugural itineraries in October following a livestream presentation.
The ship’s central Grand Hall will draw on the exploration theme of the Moana films and include a bronze cast statue of Moana alongside Pua and Heihei. Sculptures of Woody and Buzz Lightyear from the Toy Story films will appear on the stern, while the bow will carry a hand-painted Tinker Bell filigree based on her appearance in the 1953 animated film Peter Pan.
Construction began with a steel-cutting ceremony at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, in August 2025. The Disney Believe is planned as the fourth ship in the Wish class.
After its debut, Disney Cruise Line intends to introduce three vessels in a new class as it expands to 13 ships by the end of 2030. The company says the mid-sized ships will accommodate about 3,000 passengers each, placing them between its Magic- and Wish-class vessels in size. Two are scheduled for 2029 and the third for late 2030. Names and home ports have not been announced.
