Disney Believe’s first gigablock floats out in Germany
The construction milestone advances work on Disney Cruise Line’s ninth ship ahead of its planned late 2027 debut.

Disney Believe has reached a construction milestone at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, where builders completed and floated out the first of three gigablocks planned for the vessel.
The finished block forms the ship’s midship section and includes areas such as the Grand Hall. It will eventually be welded to the other major sections as assembly progresses.
According to the shipyard’s construction plan, work will next focus on the forward portion of Disney Believe, followed by the aft section. Crews will connect all three gigablocks after each has been completed.
Disney Cruise Line previously announced Disney Believe as its ninth ship and the fourth vessel in its Wish class. The company expects the ship to enter service in late 2027.
