Disney Believe reaches keel-laying milestone in Germany
The ninth Disney Cruise Line ship is progressing toward an expected late 2027 debut.

Disney Believe reached another construction milestone with a ceremonial keel laying on September 29, 2026, at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany. Disney Cruise Line identifies the vessel as its ninth ship and fourth Wish-class vessel.
Meyer Werft Chief Operating Officer Jörg Heidelberg and Chief Executive Officer Andre Walter joined Disney Cruise Line Senior Vice President and General Manager Tracy Wilson and Walt Disney Imagineering Portfolio Executive Project Management Andres Ovalles for the ceremony.
The keel-laying tradition featured a custom-minted coin displaying a portrait of Tinker Bell. The milestone followed the float-out of the vessel’s first gigablock, while work on its second gigablock is underway at the shipyard.
Disney Believe is expected to debut in late 2027. Disney plans to share further details in an upcoming livestream covering the ship’s homeport, itineraries, new venues and entertainment.
