Disney Believe reaches construction milestone in Germany
The first of three major ship sections has been completed ahead of the vessel’s planned late-2027 debut.

Disney Cruise Line said the first of three large sections, known as gigablocks, for Disney Believe has been completed and floated out at Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany. The completed block is the ship’s middle section and includes the Grand Hall.
Disney said the planned Grand Hall will take inspiration from Moana and feature a bronze statue of Moana, Pua and Heihei. Woody and Buzz Lightyear have been selected for sculptures on the stern, while Tinker Bell will be incorporated into the bow design.
The cruise line has also identified Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana and The Little Mermaid as inspirations for venues and entertainment aboard Disney Believe. The ship is planned to begin sailing in late 2027. The reviewed announcement did not provide an itinerary, pricing or a date for bookings to open. Disney Wish cruises announced from New York for fall 2027 are separate from the plans for Disney Believe.
