Disney Adventure chef details shipwide focus on Asian cuisine
Senior Executive Chef Martin helped shape the menu at Mike and Sulley’s Flavors of Asia, a premium family restaurant with four Japanese dining experiences.

Chef Martin, a shoreside Senior Executive Chef with Disney Cruise Line, oversees menus across the Disney Adventure. He said the vessel was designed specifically around Southeast Asian cuisine, with dishes representing multiple Asian regions and cultures offered throughout the ship.
His responsibilities span menu, recipe and presentation development, along with ingredient selection and product sourcing. Martin also trains and supports onboard culinary teams and helps them address operational challenges while maintaining consistency.
Martin played a major role in creating the menu for Mike and Sulley’s Flavors of Asia, drawing on his varied background to influence the restaurant’s offerings. Inspired by Harryhausen’s restaurant from Disney and Pixar’s Monsters, Inc., the family-friendly premium venue features four distinct Japanese dining experiences, including sushi and teppanyaki.
Among the dishes developed for the restaurant, Martin identified the Wagyu Donabe Rice as his favorite.
