Discover Airlines plans Genoa–Frankfurt service for spring 2027
The seasonal route is intended to support German cruise demand and Costa Cruises’ fly-cruise programme.
A direct air connection between Genoa and Frankfurt is scheduled to begin in late March 2027, providing an additional link between Liguria and one of Europe’s principal aviation hubs.
Discover Airlines plans to operate the flight twice weekly throughout the 2027 summer aboard an Airbus A320 with 180 seats. The route was developed through cooperation among the airline, Genoa Airport and Costa Cruises.
The connection is intended to increase international visitor flows to Genoa and Liguria, improve the region’s access to major European air hubs and support demand from the German cruise market. It is also expected to contribute to Costa’s fly-cruise programme.
Passengers will be able to combine the Frankfurt–Genoa service with Costa Toscana cruises departing from Savona or Costa Fascinosa sailings leaving Genoa. The arrangement will provide German customers with an integrated air-and-sea option for Western Mediterranean travel.
