Cruising Canucks Pair Expands Video Audience and Group Sailings

Jerry and Jill Shields publish cruise videos under the Cruising Canucks name and have attracted more than 18,000 subscribers on YouTube. Their videos chronicle sailings around the world and provide viewers with travel advice and recommendations.

The couple also organizes group cruises. According to Jerry, revenue generated by their videos and hosted group sailings has enabled them to take approximately 35 cruises since they posted their first YouTube cruise video in 2021. They now take between five and seven cruises annually.

Their online profile has also led to recognition while traveling. Jill said people recognized her and Jerry as they walked through the airport in Rome, with some calling out and running toward her.
